The True Vision

Most Australians hated the Opera House when it was being constructed. They thought it was too expensive and too odd, which eventually lead to the architect, Utzon, quitting the project and the design of the Opera House’s interior being modified (or butchered, depending on one’s point of view).

Max Dupain documented the Opera House’s construction during the Utzon years, and one can certainly see the elegance of the construction.

The Opera House is currently being refitted, with Utzon’s input.
