5 Questions Redux

I thought I was too late to make Keith’s interview list, but I wasn’t… so here they are:

1. What/who started you blogging?
I started to come across blogs when browsing about 2 years ago. Mostly they were the political-type blogs. It wasn’t until I found some of the more personal, mixed sites that blogging began to interest me as something to do myself. Keeping a blog seemed more real than keeping a diary; the whole “secret-diary-that-I-really-want-to-be-published-after-my-death” thing irritates me. With blogging there is no pretense – the whole idea is to have people read what you write.

2. Do you feel you were born in the wrong time? If so, what time period do you think best suits you?

Hmm. I’ve always been a very romantic, historically inclined person, so other time periods do appeal to me. Whether I would say I was born in the wrong time is a different matter. At different points in my life Victorian England, Rome in the last years of the Republic and the 1920s have appealed to me as interesting times.

3. Choose: life without sight, or life without hearing.

That’s hard. I’d say hearing.

4. Which would you prefer, with, or a life of being with
that one person and only that one person and never interacting with another
living soul ever again?

Either choice would be difficult to live with, but I can imagine that two people who only interacted with each other would come close to killing each other after a relatively short period. So, reluctantly and sadly, I’d have to say that I’d prefer a life of being surrounded by people but never
meeting that one person.

5. What’s your favorite place on the planet?

At the moment, Hill End.

The rules are the same as before.

  1. If you want to participate, leave me a comment saying “interview me.”
  2. I will respond by asking you five questions – each person’s will be different.
  3. You will update your journal with the questions and the answers to the questions.
  4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview others in the same post.
  5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

So I guess this means I have to interview twice as many people?
