Easter has been slow and lazy, except for a walk we went on today. No Easter Eggs (by choice, although not out of weight-consciousness). Bought a few secondhand Jeeves books since they were recommended to me on the basis of my liking Gosford Park. I haven’t read them yet, but they look interesting.
One thing I have is cats with fine aesthetic taste. The small grey and white one, Lexy, loves to sleep on top of a light box we have (it used to be one of John’s artworks but is now used as a lamp). It is made out of white opaque perspex and gives off a very attractive light. Just before dusk, Lexy heads toward the lightbox, waiting for it to be turned on, then lies on top of it enveloped in light. She does have a knack of arranging herself in places and postures that are flattering to her. On a more mundane note, the lightbox also gives off warmth (her real reason for sleeping on it, I feel).
