Her crime? Eating while fat.

Over at MomGrind, the blogger is making unfounded judgements about a fat girl “overdosing on sugar” or some such nonsense. (Thanks Bri, for the pointer to the discussion). The comments on the post are now closed because some uppity fatties have been taking her to task (yay, team!) but I will not be denied my 2 cents.

Uh, this might get a bit lengthy, because I have a LOT of spare change.

Oh, please no… my sides are splitting!

The fat people, they cannot take a joke:

Malaysian long-haul budget carrier AirAsia X on Tuesday denied it was considering charging passengers according to how much they weigh.

An Australian executive with the airline had been quoted as telling a travel industry magazine that an initiative to charge larger passengers “could help Aussies lose weight”.

But the carrier said the comment had merely been a joke.

Regardless of whether they weigh passengers or not, AirAsiaX have lost my business with that hilarious bit of humour from a ‘rogue’ exec.

Fat and Physicians – my own experiences

Inspired by Shapely Prose’s initiative: the First Do No Harm blog, I am re-posting an entry from my old blog which covered some of my own experiences of medical discrimination against fat people. Each of these experiences left me emotionally shattered, shamed and distrustful of doctors. Thankfully, I now have a GP who has never mentioned my weight.
