My sister has recently become engaged, and will marry in approx 18 months – 2 years. I wonder if she will consider the Inflatable Church as a venue. I know I would.

Well, it looks like it’s finally going to happen. That’s right. John and I have finally managed to get our schedules in harmony and book a holiday together! I made the bookings today, and have paid for the air fare. It’s happening. It is!
We are going to Thredbo at the end of this month, after the Australia Day weekend. No, we aren’t expecting unseasonably late snow; Thredbo is, apparently, very pretty during early Summer and the wild flowers should be blooming in time for our arrival.
In the 7 years since we have been together, it has been difficult enough to schedule a day off together – let alone enough time to go away together.
Let’s see…
- There was our trip to NY in 1997 via a student exchange program, but we both worked full-time. That doesn’t count.
- Next, I have vague recollections of 2 days spent antiquing up in the Blue Mountains a few years ago. That’s the closest we have actually had to a holiday.
- Then there was our 4 week NY trip 2 years ago – but John was there for a show he was participating in, so that was really work too.
Hey, now that I think about it, our anniversary is on the 27th, so this will be an anniversary holiday. Funny how these things work out.
My cat, Zelda, playully ripping my hands to shreds. John likes this photo because of what
he says are its ‘cinematic qualities’.
This is little jade budda we keep in front of a water feature that the cats use as a drinking
fountain. I was experimenting with taking a photo of an object that is back-lit. John helped
out by shining a torch on the shrine, in addition to the light at the back. I am pretty happy
with how it turned out.
Believe it or not, these sunset photos were taken from the window of my inner-city home. I think
they have turned out quite well.
